Yesterday afternoon I began the journey that will hopefully end with me in Tasmania in a few months time. After a great send off from Tewantin (near Noosa) by my parents and some friends, Steph and Chris, I hit the road and made it to Caloundra by about 8:30pm where I stayed with some other friends, Emma and Dobbo (cheers legends). This morning I set off again about 6am and met some mates Lal and Joel at the Beerwah train station and we battled crazy traffic and heavy rain to complete the next leg into North Lakes, just north of Brisbane.
This first few days of riding down into Brisbane is more of a test for the bike and my body and so far both are holding up well, although I already have a list of things that I want to leave behind at my brothers place in Brisbane to save weight.
My crowdfunding campaign finally went live today too, please take a look –
